FAQ

1. What is the Admission Material?
It is a curated PDF containing the essential theoretical foundation of the Black Silva method. It is free to download and mandatory for passing the exam.

2. Is the Admission Exam free?
Yes. We believe that theoretical knowledge should be accessible. You only pay for the practical, hands-on training with our Masters.

3. What happens if I fail the exam?
If you fail, you must review the Admission Material and try again. You cannot book Module I without a valid Admission Ticket.

4. Do I need to bring my own tools?
For Module I (Demonstration), tools are not required. For Modules II, III, and IV, we recommend bringing your own equipment to get used to your tools, but we can also provide professional gear if needed.

5. Is the "Admission Ticket" a diploma?
No. The Admission Ticket is your "passport" to enter the Academy. The official Master Diploma is only awarded after completing Module IV.

6. How do I book the classes?
Once you have your Ticket, use the "Book First Meeting" button in Module I or visit our Fresha booking page directly.

7. Do I have to provide my own models?
Yes. Black Silva Academy is NOT responsible for finding models. It is the student's responsibility to ensure a model is present for practical modules.

8. What if my model doesn't show up?
Without a model, we cannot perform the practical session. The session will be cancelled and the fee is non-refundable as the Master's time was reserved.

9. How long does a module last?
Each practical module (II, III, and IV) is an intensive 4-hour session of one-on-one or small group training.

10. Can I skip a module?
No. Our curriculum is progressive. You must master the techniques in Module II before the Master allows you to advance to Module III.

11. What if I don't pass Module II in one session?
Excellence takes time. If the Master decides your technique isn't at the required level, you will need to repeat the module (at the standard module price) until it is perfected.

12. Where is the Academy located?
We are located in the heart of Copenhagen: Badstuestraede 16, 1209 København K.

13. Can I pay in installments?
Payments are made per module. This allows you to progress at your own pace and manage your investment session by session.

14. Is there an age limit?
You must be at least 16 years old. If you are under 18, we require written parental consent.

15. What hair length should my model have for Module II?
For the Classic Fade, your model should have at least 3-4 cm of hair on top and enough length on the sides to demonstrate a visible fade.

16. Can I bring a female model?
Our current "Elite" course focuses on barbering and short hair fading techniques, typically performed on male models or short-haired individuals.

17. What is the "1 Ticket" price for Module One?
Module One is free of monetary charge but requires the "Admission Ticket" earned by passing the online exam.

18. How can I contact the Academy for urgent matters?

19. Do I get a digital or physical diploma?
Upon successful completion of Module IV, you will receive a high-quality physical Diploma and a digital version for your portfolio.

20. Can I reschedule a booked session?
Rescheduling is allowed up to 48 hours before the session via Fresha. Late cancellations result in loss of the session fee.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1.ADMISSION PROCESS
Access to Modules I-IV is strictly conditioned by passing the online theoretical examination. The generated "Admission Ticket" is personal, non-transferable, and serves only as proof of theoretical readiness. It does not guarantee a final graduation certificate without the completion of all practical modules

2.PAYMENT & RESERVATION POLICY
All practical module bookings are processed through our external partner (Fresha). Fees are applied according to the displayed price list. Deposits or full payments may be non-refundable if a cancellation occurs less than 48 hours before the scheduled session, due to logistical costs and reserved seating

3. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All course materials—including the Admission PDF, demonstrated techniques, and video content—are the exclusive property of Black Silva Academy. Copying, distributing, or reselling these materials without express written consent is strictly prohibited and will be subject to legal action.

4. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Black Silva Hair Salon is not liable for any injuries or unsatisfactory aesthetic results occurring during or after the course. Students are fully responsible for the safe handling of professional tools and equipment during practical sessions.

5. DATA PROTECTION- GDPR
By completing the exam, you consent to the processing of your name and email address for the purpose of generating your digital certificate and for administrative communication. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

6. RIGHT OF ADMISSION
The Academy reserves the right to select its clientele and refuse access to individuals who do not comply with our professional conduct standards or who fail to complete the mandatory prerequisites

7. MODEL REQUIREMENT & RESPONSIBILITY
Black Silva is NOT responsible for providing models for students. It is the sole responsibility of the student to find and bring a suitable model for the practical sessions Modules II, III, and IV. If a student arrives without a model, the session cannot proceed, and the fee for that session will not be refunded.

Start Admission Test

Passing this test grants you the Official Admission Ticket to Black Silva Academy. You won't be able to join the first module without a valid ticket!

Module I

Demonstration Class

Focus on Fundamentals: Module I. Welcome to your first step. In this module, you are invited to join an exclusive demonstration class within our salon. This is your opportunity to engage directly with our Masters and address your technical inquiries. Access to this session is strictly reserved for holders of the Admission Ticket earned through your examination.

Module II

Classic Fade

Advanced Practice: Module II. This stage focuses on hands-on execution. Over a 4-hour intensive session, you will work under the direct guidance of a Master to craft your first Classic Fade. In our pursuit of excellence, this module is repeated as many times as necessary until your craftsmanship meets the elite standards required to advance to Module III.

Module III

Advanced Fading Techniques

Mastering the Skinfade: Module III. In this stage, you will be guided step-by-step as you elevate your craft to the next level. You will master complex fading techniques, focusing on the precision of free-hand clipper movements without guards. In our pursuit of excellence, this module is repeated as many times as necessary until your craftsmanship meets the elite standards required to advance to Module IV

Module IV

Final Course

Final Mastery: Module IV. This is your final step! You will learn how to choose the best haircut based on your customer’s face shape and head geometry. We will focus on advanced scissor work for medium-length hair and how to communicate like a pro with your clients. Once you master these final skills, you’ll be ready to graduate as a Black Silva Master.
